McDonald Leads Majors to Win with Four-Goal Night

PIAS Majors Dominate Jiffy in 7–2 Victory Behind Macdonald’s Four-Goal Performance

The PIAS Majors cruised to a commanding 7–2 win over Jiffy in a fast-paced matchup highlighted by Sean Macdonald’s explosive four-goal performance. Jiffy opened the scoring midway through the first period when James Hannigan buried a shot at 11:23 to give his team a brief 1–0 lead. However, that advantage was short-lived as the Majors erupted for four unanswered goals in the final minutes of the period. Andrew Bisbing tied the game with help from Ben Hackett before Macdonald took over, netting three goals in just over a minute to send PIAS into the intermission up 4–1.

Jiffy Hockey Club managed to halt the momentum in the second frame when Ryan Orgel scored at 7:42, assisted by Clyde Spencer, cutting the deficit to 4–2. But that would be the last time Jiffy found the back of the net. The Majors tightened up defensively and continued to press offensively, outshooting Jiffy 35–22 overall. In the final period, Galen Arnold extended the lead to 5–2, followed by goals from Evan Manchester and Macdonald—his fourth of the night—to seal the dominant win.

Goaltender Jason Bisbing was rock-solid between the pipes for PIAS, turning aside 20 of 22 shots to earn second-star honors. Jiffy’s Hannigan, who opened the scoring and brought energy throughout, was named the game’s third star. But it was Macdonald who stole the show, leading all players with five points (4 goals, 1 assist) and earning first-star recognition as the Majors continued their winning ways with a statement performance.
